A mass search is planned for a Minnesota mother of two who disappeared under suspicious circumstances nearly a week ago.

Madeline Kingsbury, 26, disappeared in Winona on the morning of March 31 shortly after dropping her children off at daycare with their father.

The father – who was not specifically described by police as her husband – said they got home and left for work in his van around 10am – marking the last time he view.

Ms Kingsbury did not report to her own work or return calls or texts from family and friends.

Alarm bells were ringing when she failed to collect the children from daycare that afternoon, which police described as “extremely unusual for her”.

His disappearance has been described as ‘unintentional and suspicious’ and investigators say there are reasons to fear for his safety.

Local law enforcement organized a massive search for volunteers to join on Friday morning.

Ms Kingsbury’s family are also offering a $50,000 reward for information on her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, friends of the mother have spoken of suspicious details on the day of her disappearance.

“The first red flag was that the van was backed up because it’s a terrible driver and everyone will tell you that,” a friend of Ms Kingbury’s who did not wish to be identified told KIMT3 News.

What do we know about Madeline’s latest moves?

Winona Police have provided few details about the day Madeline Kingsbury disappeared.

What we do know is that Ms Kingsbury and the father of her children dropped off their two children – aged two and five – at daycare around 8am on March 31.

At around 8:15 a.m., the mother of two returned home.

His fate after this period remains a mystery.

She failed to show up for work – which police said was “very different to her” – and her mobile phone, wallet, ID card and the jacket she was wearing that morning were destroyed. all were found inside the house.

The father of her children told investigators he left Ms Kingsbury’s home around 10am that morning, driving off in his dark blue 2014 Chrysler Town and Country van.

He said he returned later that day to find Ms Kingsbury was not at home.

Friends and family members attempted to contact the 26-year-old that day, but were unable to reach her.

Again, police said this was unusual behavior for her.

“Based on all of this, we believe Madeline’s disappearance is unintentional, suspicious and we are all concerned for her safety,” Winona Police Chief Tom Williams said.

The Winona Police Department has requested assistance from nearby authorities in the search for the missing mother of two, 26-year-old Madeline Kinsley.

No person of interest in the disappearance of Madelin Kingsbury

Winona Police say there are currently no suspects or persons of interest in the case.

However, they appear to be focusing on the movements of Ms Kingsbury’s van – and are asking for the public’s help in tracing her journeys on the day she disappeared.

Chief Tom Williams confirmed the vehicle was not missing and Ms Kingsbury’s van and home had been searched.

Surveillance footage captured a vehicle matching the description of the pickup truck which was captured driving from the house along highways and through Winona County and Fillmore County before returning home.

Once the vehicle returned home, it is not believed to have gone anywhere else.

During Thursday’s press release, police declined to say who was driving the van.

“This is not information we can share at this time,” they said.

The police chief said “there is no indication that she left the residence on foot or in any other vehicle.”

Both children are safe and there does not appear to be a threat to the public, police said.
