Elijah Wood appears in Yellowjackets Season 2, but who does he play and what episodes does he appear in?
The first season of Yellowjackets in 2021 became a smash hit, with multiple Emmy Award nominations in 2022 and the green light for Season 2, which finally began airing. We’ve enjoyed the first few episodes so far, and you can read our review here.

There’s also been a lot of anticipation for the show’s characters, old and new. An addition to the Season 2 cast is Lord of the Rings actor Elijah Wood. But when does he appear and who does he play? We will explain to you, but first, spoiler warning for Yellowjackets!
Who plays Elijah Wood in The Yellowjackets Season 2?
Elijah Wood plays Walter tattersall in Yellowjackets Season 2. He first appears in episode 2 of the season and then in subsequent episodes.
As of this writing, not much is known about Walter. As we are only on the third episode of season 2, there is a lot to reveal about the character.

Walter first appears in voiceover form. You see, there’s a secret letter that Misty read earlier, which gives her advice on where to find a witness who would help her locate the currently missing Natalie. There’s a voiceover for the letter, which speaks of admiration for Misty – and the voice rings very familiar.
We then see a brief glimpse of him in episode 2 as he enters the medical residence where Misty (played by Christina Ricci) works. We watch him usher in an elderly relative, complaining about all the bad practices that might be going on in the establishment. Misty looks at Walter with a suspicious gaze, and he glances at her as well.

In Episode 3, we finally find out who he really is: the guy from Misty’s “Citizen Detective” online community whose posts about the Adam Martin murder continue to be rejected by Misty. It turns out he really admires her, as her “nose for analyzing evidence is unparalleled”, and he eventually set out to find her so he could be the “Moriarty” to her “Sherlock”.
Walter is a little less intimidating than Moriarty though, as during the scene where the pair question a witness about Natalie’s disappearance, with Misty feeding Walter’s lines, he is very reluctant to act tough.

But there’s clearly more going on with Walter than we know yet. He owns a boat just so he can escape the country without a passport, he tells Misty, “Everyone’s hiding something,” and it turns out that the old lady he took to Misty’s work isn’t. not even his relative, but an old lady. who was about to be expelled.
